Amity University Punjab Holds Entrepreneurship Awareness Meet

  


Mohali: Amity University Punjab's Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) and Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhta & Rural Engagement Cell (SES REC) came together to organize a thought-provoking ‘Entrepreneurship Awareness Meet’ aimed at igniting the spirit of entrepreneurship among its students.

Dr. RK Kohli, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Punjab said, “Through this interactive session between students and key players in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the Amity University Punjab aimed to plant the seeds of entrepreneurial ambition in the minds of its students. By showcasing the stories of real entrepreneurs and offering practical guidance, the university aspires to inspire students to consider entrepreneurship as a promising career path.”

By ensuring presence of senior representatives from organisations like Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Startup Punjab, TiE Chandigarh, Punjab Angels Network, and Innovation Mission Punjab, Amity University Punjab created a vibrant platform right on its campus, setting the stage for an engaging session that celebrated innovation and business acumen.

A key highlight of the event was the mentoring session where students had the unique opportunity to engage in one-on-one discussions with the distinguished speakers and mentors from the partnering organizations. This interactive exchange allowed students to present their innovative ideas, seek advice, and gain practical insights from seasoned professionals. The atmosphere of collaboration and knowledge sharing was palpable, creating a springboard for potential entrepreneurial endeavors.

Distinguished speakers graced the event, sharing their pearls of wisdom with students. Dr. Dapinder Kaur Bakshi, Joint Director and Head, Research and Startup Facilitation Division, In-charge, Patent Information Centre and Technology & Innovation Support Centre, Punjab State Council for Science & Technology; Ms. Ritika Singh, General Secretary, TiE Chandigarh and Mentor for TiE-U; Ms. Anuradha Chawla, COO of Punjab Angels Network and CEO & Founder of Bbetter HR Solutions; Mr. Abhishek Purohit, Head – Acceleration, Innovation Mission Punjab; Mr. Shyam Sunder, Joint Manager and Mr. Salil Kalplash, Startup Co-ordinator, Startup Punjab sensitised the audience with insights into their organizations' entrepreneurship-related schemes, resources, and diverse facets.
