Children's Day: VRS Group's Clothes and Toys Donation drive concludes

  


Mohali: VRS Group organised a Clothes and Toys Donation Drive from 7th to 14th November for underprivileged children. The drive concluded on Children's Day. This initiative was taken by VRS Group under the name 'V R your Smile'. VRS Group is a real estate company based in Mohali, which provides integrated commercial, residential, industrial and townships in the area. 

On 14th November, VRS Group organised an event in District One, Sector 68, Mohali, International Airport Road, in which underprivileged children were invited to enjoy their day among amusements like toy trains, trampolines and cartoons, among other planned engagement activities. Post this, toys and clothes collected from the drop points, along with food packets for lunch were distributed among the children.

Mr. Sumit Jindal, MD and CEO, VRS Group said, "It is really important to focus on the well-being of children. They don't just deserve the basic necessities, but also the right environment to embrace their childhood. The focus of our initiative was to help underprivileged children get good clothes, toys and healthy amusement that they always look for but can't get due to financial reasons."

The donation boxes were placed at various places including District One, Mohali; VRS Office, Balongi near VR Mall; Bake N Cake, Sector 91, Mohali; Urban Grocers, Phase 10 Mohali; Michigan Pizza, Adjoining Metro, Ambala Chandigarh Expressway; Sandalz, Sector 37 C, Chandigarh; Shreenath Retail, Manimajra and The Admission Consultants, Sector 35 C Chandigarh till 13th November.

VRS Group also distributed Appreciation Certificates to the helping hands of this Donation Drive at the end of the event. Mr. Rajesh Arora, Chairman, VRS group, said, "Seeing the response and the happiness on the faces of children made all our effort worth it.
