Nayaswami Jyotish and Devi’s talk on Kriya Yoga Meditation held

Chandigarh: Ananda Worldwide organized a talk on Kriya Yoga Meditation at Maharashtra Mandal, Sector 19D here today, where the Spiritual Co-directors of the organization - Nayaswami Jyotish and Nayaswami Devi, the disciples of Paramhansa Yogananda, delivered the talk. The 2-hour programme was attended by around 165 people.

“Meditation is the way to keep the mind and body in balance. At Ananda, we share the path of Kriya Yoga as taught by Paramhansa Yogananda. The practical and scientific aspects of Kriya Yoga meditation are taught over several weeks of study, culminating in initiation into the sacred path of Kriya Yoga,” said Nayaswami Jyotish.

Nayaswami Jyotish and Devi, both Kriyacharyas, talked in detail about how the practice of meditation could unveil a goldmine of joy within. They both have authored seven books and have been personally trained by Swami Kriyananda to spread Ananda’s philosophy across the world. They have traveled around the US, Europe, Russia, and India to teach and guide people.

The talk was open to all. Kriya Yoga, an ancient meditation technique of energy control, or pranayama, is part of a comprehensive spiritual path, which includes additional meditation practices along with the right living. Paramhansa Yogananda has explained the practices in his bestseller book ‘An Autobiography of a Yogi’.

It is worth mentioning that Paramhansa Yogananda was the first great master of yoga to make his home in the US in 1920. The talk was held under the aegis of Ananda Sangha - a global movement based on the teachings of Yogananda, founded in California in 1969 by his disciple, Swami Kriyananda. BlogsWire
