GAIL employees take pledge to spread awareness about environment



GAIL has been playing a significant role in “Energizing Possibilities” for a cleaner environment and sustainable living, considering “Environmental Responsibility” as one of the core elements of its vision statement. 

GAIL (India) Limited has been creating awareness through its Hawa Badlo initiative and inducing behavioral changes to ensure a greener and cleaner tomorrow. Through the Hawa Badlo initiative, GAIL advocates against air pollution, problems caused due to air pollution and talks about the solutions for curbing it.

It encourages sustainable and environment friendly lifestyle habits such as planting trees, cycling - walking, carpooling, using public transport, conserving energy and using cleaner energy sources like Natural Gas for industries, CNG for automobiles and PNG for commercial uses.

To reinforce GAIL’s commitment towards Environmental responsibilities on World Environment Day, GAIL employees from all over India took a pledge for:

• Environment friendly lifestyle
• Planting trees and promoting green environment
• Switching to cleaner energy solutions
• Spreading awareness about environment

To showcase their responsibilities as a corporate, GAIL (India) Ltd launched a short video on World Environment Day, so that the message reaches the Indian masses and every Indian citizen adopts healthy lifestyle habits to curb pollution.
