Amritsar : A big Diwali celebration was held at Dreamcity NXT Club on GT road near DPS school, Amritsar . DreamCity NXT Amritsar, an iconic housing city of  AIPL  in the holy city, made the celebration of the Festival of Lights quite special for people of  Amritsar . Full of fun, frolic, music and sumptuous food, people had a  great time. The festival offered sumptuous dishes from food stalls, shopping, and dancing to the tune of live bands. There were lucky draws every hour and many more attractions.   Chandigarh : In a major development in Punjab politics just before the Assembly elections, a grouping of the Hindu community has been announced in the presence of PPCC President Navjot Singh Sidhu. The organisation of Hindus has been named as Sanyukta Hindu  Mahasabha – Punjab . Its chairman is Ashwani Sekhri,  a senior Punjab Congress leader, who has been a Cabinet minister of Punjab and also 3-times MLA from Batala. A meeting under the aegis of Sanyukta Hindu Mahasabha - Punjab with prominent leaders of different Hindu organisations was held  as part of a 'Diwali Milan' programme at Punjab Bhawan here.
