Sidhu supports formation of Sanyukta Hindu Mahasabha, says govt cannot make false promises to get votes
Chandigarh : In a major development in Punjab politics just before the Assembly elections, a grouping of the Hindu community has been announced in the presence of PPCC President Navjot Singh Sidhu. The organisation of Hindus has been named as Sanyukta Hindu Mahasabha – Punjab . Its chairman is Ashwani Sekhri, a senior Punjab Congress leader, who has been a Cabinet minister of Punjab and also 3-times MLA from Batala. A meeting under the aegis of Sanyukta Hindu Mahasabha - Punjab with prominent leaders of different Hindu organisations was held as part of a 'Diwali Milan' programme at Punjab Bhawan here.
